An Intro To: Groups

Everybody has multiple groups of friends that don’t always mix perfectly. You might have friends from a book club and friends from the vintage car appreciation society – they’re all your friends, but they’re not necessarily friends with each other because they have different interests.  You wouldn’t treat all your friends the same way either; you’d never invite book club friends to a show and shine, and you wouldn’t bring car aficionados to a book signing.

So why would you treat your customers all the same? They all have different interests and needs as well, so doesn’t it make sense to only tell them about things they’re interested in? With 1to1Real, targeting your customers is as easy as one click.

For example, imagine you own a specialty wine shop and you have a list of 200 customers who are rabid wine fans. They want to be notified when you bring in certain types of wine. But not all of them like the same kinds of wine – out of that 200, 50 of them only like red wine, 30 are only interested in white and 40 are only interested in wines from Canada.  By creating groups you can customize what information you send to your customers. If you’re having a sale on all wine, you might notify all 200 wine fans. If you’re bringing in a case of highly anticipated red wine from Canada, you can tell the 90 people that like red wine and Canadian wines – the people who will be most excited to know, and the people who will want to buy it, and not bother the 30 customers you have that wouldn’t be interested because they only like white wine.

By creating groups, you can send better, more targeted information to your customers, which means they’ll be more likely to engage you in conversation, and more likely to buy. Of course, the example above is just one of the things you can do with 1to1Real. The possibilities are endless. Whatever you need to say to your customers, however you want to say it, 1to1Real can help you say it more efficiently and with less work.
